AccountsIQ has now been upgraded successfully and is fully operational. Thanks for your patience during the upgrade!

IMPORTANT: The system no longer requires you to run it under 'Compatibility Mode' in Internet Explorer (IE) 8.0/9.0.  If you are running it under Compatibility Mode you will see the following warning at the top of your menu:

To check whether you are running under Compatibility Mode simply select 'Tools' from the Internet Explorer top level menu as shown:

To remove the system from Compatibility Mode click the link provided in the message above to view the instructions. This will only take a few seconds and will ensure that you enjoy the best performance from the system as we can now take advantage of the performance improvements released as part of IE 9.0.

Note: If you can't see the top level menu simply right click in the area at the top part of the browser and choose 'Menu Bar' from the shortcut menu.

In summary the October release contains the following:

• Redesigned General Login Page: We’ve overhauled the login page with a new look and feel together with some handy links to our website and social media sites (e.g. Twitter etc.). Note that customised login pages designed by clients and resellers will remain unaffected and will function as normal
• New Menus Look and Feel: Completely redesigned top menus with menu items now logically grouped for easier access. When you hover over a menu item, you will obtain an explanation of what the function does. This is a handy feature for new users particularly. New users can also search for any functionality/report in the system within their side bar.   Click here for video
• New Dashboard Setup: Easier to configure dashboards to your own requirements, including naming tabs and selecting objects to include under each tab, with options to export and import dashboard settings for other users.   Click here for video
• New Company Setup Wizard: Easier to create new companies based on standard system templates or your existing companies.
• New Company Information Screen: Central access to all company settings. Facility to change financial year even when the company has started entering transactions
• ‘How-to’ Videos: Embedded videos for key functions accessible from screens in the system. A useful training tool for new users
• Updated Online Help for all changes to the system
• Sales Rep Commissions and Reporting (Enterprise Version Only): New facility to set up sales reps and their commission rates which can be fixed or based on gross sales margin. You can then track associated sales and report on commissions earned by each rep at any time
• Bulk Price Update: Enables you to apply price updates either in bulk (i.e. across many items) or item by item. This eliminates the need to access each item record individually when applying price updates. You could use this to reduce/increase your prices on certain lines by a fixed percentage for example
• Improved Cash and Bank Past Periods Report: This report now shows the other side of all bank postings along with some additional reference fields
• Bank Listing Report: Useful report which lists the current base and foreign currency bank balances for each bank
• New Central Defaults Screen: Central access to all the main defaults (i.e. bank, customer, supplier, item etc.) settings used in the system. The system will highlight any issues with the system defaults and this helps ensure the integrity of the data entered
• Forgotten Password Function: You can now request a password reset directly from the new login page. The system will then email you a link to another page where you can reset your password
• Strong Password Enforcement: When you are changing your password, the system will now check to ensure that it is strong enough and in line with best security practice
• System Performance: We’ve spent a lot of time making general performance improvements to various screens taking advantage of the latest improvements made to Internet Explorer 9.0. We therefore recommend all users to upgrade to IE 9.0 in advance of the upgrade to ensure that they enjoy the best experience using the system. User will also no longer be required to run the system in ‘Compatibility Mode’. This should have a positive impact on system performance.

Note that all these enhancements work in all the main internet browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer 8.0/9.0, Google Chrome, Firefox and Apple Safari).
