Latest Product Enhancements

Last week we released a new set of enhancements to accountsIQ.  All of these improvements are based on our customers' feedback.

We have a further set of enhancements to make between now and the end of 2009 which we're really looking forward to delivering for all our customers. 

Group Consolidations

accountsIQ now handles full Group Consolidations and reporting. This is ideal if you have a number of group companies or subsidiaries that you wish to consolidate into one reporting entity.

The consolidation function handles:

  • Unlimited numbers of group companies: You can create a consolidation group with an unlimited number of subsidiary companies.  These companies are associated with an overall consolidation company (effectively a holding company) into which the data is consolidated.
  • Multi-currency: It is now possible to consolidate companies with different base currencies into a single reporting entity.  For example, you may have subsidiary companies that report in UK Sterling and Euro but want to do group reporting in US Dollars.  The foreign currency translation function also allows for the fact that there are different considerations for converting Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet values in a consolidation scenario.
  • Unrealised Gains/Losses: Any imbalances concerning Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts are automatically offset by associated values in the Group Company’s Unrealised Gains/Losses account.
  • Production of Financial Reports: Layouts for Consolidated Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance are provided.
Business Analytics Setup

We have upgraded the Business Analytics tool to enable users to more easily create analysis groups and codes. 

Analysis Groups can be used to track the performance of different areas of your business in combination with General Ledger codes. For example, you may wish to analyse your business by department, location, cost centre or division. You can create up to 6 separate analysis groups and a set of related codes within each one of them.

After the analysis groups and their codes have been created, you can then generate a set of Tracking Codes from them that can be assigned to transactions as they are input in all the main areas of the system.

Analysis groups and codes can then be used within reports to filter and group data, thereby informing you on how different parts of your business are performing.

Admin Layer User Setup

We have improved the user administration function within the Management/Practice layer. This is now one central area where you can create new users, assign user profiles and change menu and report level access.

Sales Analysis Reporting

We have also created a new Sales Analysis By Period Report within the Sales Reports listing.

This report enables you to obtain full details of the sales values and quantities sold to customers by:

  • Sales Region
  • Sales Area/Rep
  • Customer
  • Product Line/Group
  • Product Item

This report will be useful in preparing your budgets, sales commissions and monitoring overall sales performance for your business

Additional Webservices

accountsIQ has a full API that enables us to seamlessly and automatically link to a wide variety of 3rd Party applications (e.g. Web shops, EPOS, CRM systems). 

In the last release we added in some additional functionality to our Web Services API.

We now have web services that enable:

  • General journal integration - This would be useful for sending a set of payroll journals to AccountsIQ from an external payroll system for example
  • Sales batch credit note integration - send sales credit note transactions directly into the system
  • Purchases batch invoice integration - send purchase invoices transactions directly into the system
  • Purchases batch debit note integration - send purchase debit notes directly into the system

All of these changes are guided by continual customer feedback.
