Accountants: Tech your way out of the Recession!
We commissioned Market Research company Vanson Bourne to survey 100 UK Small Business owner/managers in December 2008 to ascertain what services would be of most value from their accountants during the current economic slowdown and compare these to what they felt they were actually receiving.
The research showed that SMEs were anxious to get more quality advice from their accountants focused around providing them with real time information and analysis on their businesses performance and such critical factors as cashflow.
During tighter market conditions all businesses look at reducing costs so by providing these services accountants are demonstrating the value of what they offer and are far more likely to keep their clients and be in a stronger position to address the inevitable downward pressure on fees.
