Graduate ASP.net Developers Required

We intend to recruit 2 recent graduates to join our Development team based in Blackrock Co Dublin. This is a great opportunity to join a successful, fast-growing Cloud computing company and to make a real difference to our future product developments.

You will have the opportunity to join the growing ranks of people working within an agile team and discover what working in a Scrum environment is like. You will also be able to learn some of the latest technologies (SQL Server 2008 R2, ASP.NET 4.0, LINQ, git etc).

The ideal graduates will have some experience working with and developing web-based applications. This experience can have been gained in college or developing in your own time.

You will learn or refine your designing skills using Design Patterns and enjoy the challenges of working on a commercial Software as a service (SaaS) application supporting users across the world.

We would also expect you to be familiar with some of the basic but key areas of web development such as creating page layouts using hand-coded HTML and CSS. Our core development is in ASP.net but your skills would extend to other technologies as well.

You should be a very energetic, team player, most importantly of all, you should love to code.

Ideally candidates will have the following qualifications and attributes:

• Recent grad in BSc/MSc in Computer Science, or equivalent discipline
• 0-2 years commercial software development experience on work experience or in your own time/during college
• Good knowledge of C#, Java or any Object Oriented Language. Knowledge of or previous experience with ASP.Net (2.0+) a plus
• Good knowledge of HTML, XML and JavaScript
• Some knowledge of Web Services, JQuery and Ajax
• Good understanding of relational database environments and experience using a modern database provider. e.g. MS SQL, MySQL etc.
• Should be comfortable handling multiple projects and shifting priorities. Any experience working in an agile development environment would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Some knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks would be advantageous
• Strong teamwork and communications skills required along with the ability to work with remote colleagues when required
• Must be highly motivated and confident to provide new ideas as well as to own and drive projects to completion

We will help the right candidate in the learning of the technologies and tools, and the product by fully integrating him/her in our development team which follows an Agile (Scrum) development methodology.

You will be expected to maintain knowledge of the latest technologies, practices and trends in the application and use of IT relevant to our business. You will have the opportunity to study for and achieve Microsoft Certifications.
